It’s the early 1990’s in Long Island New York, and Gwen Abitz has just received a tape in the mail. Little did she know that one tape would be the start of a life-changing health and wellness journey that would span more than 20 years.
Prior to receiving that promotional tape from a complete stranger, Gwen would have told you that algae couldn’t be good for you. “It’s just pond scum,” she said. But there was something about that tape that was intriguing to her, so instead of tossing it, she listened to it. And much to her surprise, she learned that algae is so much more than pond scum–it’s actually the world’s most perfect superfood!
In 1995, Gwen took the leap and became a New Earth Associate. She started taking Body and Mind every day, and within a few days, she was already starting to feel better than she ever had.
“But after a few years, life happened and stuff started getting in the way, so I stopped taking my supplements,” Gwen explained. Over the next few years, Gwen would move from New York to South Carolina. And as time went on, she noticed that she once again wasn’t feeling quite as healthy as she once had.
But life continued on. Until one day, nearly six years later, Gwen once again received a tape in the mail promoting an incredible superfood. And as fate would have it, it was the same supplements she had taken years before. She had thought about the products many times over the years, so she decided this must be her sign to dedicate herself to her health and start taking them again.
Just like before, within a few days of taking both Body and Mind, Gwen again found herself feeling better than ever. “From that day forward, I have taken them faithfully every day,” Gwen proclaimed. And with that, Gwen decided to also revisit her New Earth business and start sharing these incredible superfood supplements with others.
Initially, Gwen wanted to simply share her favorite products, and maybe make enough to help pay for her own supplements. But as the years have gone by, and she has learned more about the health benefits of organic Wild Microalgae®, Gwen’s goals have changed slightly. As she put it, her goal is and always will be “to reach and educate others about how important the nutritional value of Wild Microalgae is for optimal health.”
With the knowledge that it can be difficult to get the nutrients we need from food today, knowing that her New Earth supplements can fill some of those gaps keeps Gwen coming back for more. “There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that these products gave me the added nutrition my body needed to be able to get me where I am at today,” Gwen shared.
When asked if she had any advice for those looking to join New Earth, Gwen had a few words of encouragement. “Believe in the journey of your dreams,” she said. “Be patient and persistent. It is not an easy road to travel, but it’s well worth the ride.”
